S. Abligua × Odekon is a four-channel audiovisual and archival installation that investigates how speculative fiction, fictional archives, and listening can function as methods for reimagining relationships between humans and more-than-human worlds.

Presented as a pseudo-documentary, the installation follows the fictional rediscovery of an extinct sonic plant whose existence survives through fragmented botanical records, AI-generated imagery, and speculative scientific documentation. Rather than treating archives as repositories of objective knowledge, the work constructs an unstable system in which myth, scientific authority, and imagination continuously overlap.

The fictional universe was later expanded through Ode to Sorikkot,, which constructs the plant’s mythological origin. While the performance unfolds through cosmology and myth, S. Abligua × Odekon takes the form of an investigation, asking whether extinction signifies the disappearance of a species or the loss of humanity's capacity to listen. By deliberately blurring distinctions between plant, human, animal, and landscape, the work proposes listening as an ethical and relational mode of knowing that resists extractive understandings of nature.
